That night, the wind was blowing so hard, you thought it was still snowing…. the drifts were amazing:

My Jeep isn’t going anywhere anytime soon:

My neighbor had plowed our drive from the first storm, and I had cleaned it up with the snow blower, down to the gravel… then came the blizzard and blew it all back in… actually, if you look, it was higher in the middle than on the sides.  We have about 20 feet more, but ran out of diesel, guess we’ll get out tomorrow:

Gregory’s Birthday and Snow… Snow… and Snow

Gregory Hppy Eating Cake

Gregory's BDay

Smiling Gregory 2The family all came over to celebrate Gregory’s turning 2.  He was very happy, the cake was devoured, and is now very proud of mastering the new answer to the question, “How old are you?”

Then came the snow:

Not too many pictures of Gregory in the snow, the concept was very exciting, the reality however, was far deeper than he counted on.  He lasted maybe five minutes.

Thomas Buried in the Snow

Thomas on the other hand, was delighted to wade into waist high snow to find his buried snowman.  And to use his hammer and shovel to build an igloo (he hammered it together with imaginary nails), so we could enjoy eating cookies in his igloo.

Becca on the other hand, dedicated to the animals, got right to work shoveling pathways to service the barn, the chicken coop, and from the barn to Cookie’s paddock, while I repeatedly fixed the snow blower as it track came off again and again.  I am now an expert at replacing a snowblower’s track, but have little else to show for it.
